Please note: This course (CCP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations) is endorsed by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading as meeting the training requirements to become a licensed Security Officer (Unarmed), Security Officer (Monitoring), Security Officer (Cash-in-transit) and Bodyguard.

Who Should Attend?
The Certificate III in Security Operations allows current people in the industry or students who have completed the Certificate II in Security Operations to learn more advanced techniques and gain extra license functions within the industry. Some of the jobs that become available on completion include working in Cash in Transit, Body Guarding, Residential and Commercial buildings and sites, shopping centres, control rooms and monitoring centres.

This course will create the opportunity for employment in specialist areas of the security industry. You will gain critical skills required in developing and carrying out an operational plan, supervising and managing a small team for general security operations relating to the protection of people, self-defence and the defence of others. Key Points
Once you have successfully completed the Certificate III you can apply to obtain your security licence from the Office of Fair Trading. The Office of Fair Trading will charge an additional amount for your licence (approx. $475 for a 1 year multi-function licence), and will conduct a criminal history check and fingerprinting prior to approval of your application. This process will take from two to six weeks.
Please note: Any criminal convictions recorded in the last ten years that are identified will result in immediate rejection of your application.
Price
The standard fee for this course is $750 if you have already completed the three crowd control units. This fee is comprised of $250 non-refundable registration fee, $100 resource fee and $400 tuition fee.

Pre-requisites
You must have already completed the Certificate II in Security Operations in order to obtain your security licence (see here to see discounts to complete both Certificate II and III). It is also recommended that a minimum level of grade 10 English reading and writing skills are held as the course includes some language, literacy and numeracy testing.
