CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations
Please note: (CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations) is endorsed by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading as meeting the training requirements to become a licensed Security Officer (Unarmed) and Crowd Controller. It is relevant to anyone wishing to become an Asset Protection Officer, Security Officer, Crowd Controller or Static Guard.

The Certificate II in Security Operations features a blended delivery, with face-to-face, online and workbook components. The workbooks will be emailed to you upon making a booking – with students being recommended to allow one week prior to the two practical days to complete the book. You will need access to a printer for the workbooks, or they can be supplied at an additional cost of $35.

To obtain your security licence, you will need to apply through the Office of Fair Trading and submit an application with the certificates achieved with Professional Caliber Security. The office of Fair Trading will charge you an additional amount for your licence approximately $475.80 for a 1 year multi-function licence, and will conduct a criminal history check and fingerprinting prior to approving your application. This process can take anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks.
For the Flexibly Delivery method pricing is $650 and includes First Aid & CPR components. Payments can be made via credit card online or over the phone, internet banking or cash.

This course has no prerequisites. However, it is recommended that a minimum level of Grade 10 English reading and writing skills are held as the course includes language, literacy and numeracy testing to some degree.
